Tina lives as a teacher and farmer on the island of Maui, Hawaii. At school, she teaches Hawaiian Studies to local children. When she is not teaching, she is growing food and producing vegan elixirs. 

S5-E13: Kaniza Shafie

Kaniza and her husband, Dr Mukhlis Chua, are proud to have transformed a tract of polluted and abandoned land into an eco-friendly urban farm and agriculture research centre.

A mother of two girls and former editor-in-chief of Indonesia’s Cosmopolitan magazine, Nino is the founder of Playbook, an education tech startup. Originally from Jogjakarta, Indonesia, Nino is a content strategist turned education tech warrior who wants to reinvent education for the young people of Indonesia.

Upasna’s story is in itself intriguing because she is the first in her family to start a business. Everyone in her family had been working professionals including her grandfather who was a lawyer and he encouraged her to read in English by giving her an English book, Little Women by Louisa May Alcott.

Pearlin started as a journalist at Singapore Press Holdings upon graduation. Her journey is a little unusual in that she started writing her bestseller first and her business came after when more and more entrepreneurs began asking her to write their books.

Jay said that she spent many years in the UK  studying and understanding corporate responsibility in human rights which she later expanded to re-imagining the corporation.
