When my Spotify for Creators data landed in my inbox, I felt a genuine sense of excitement not because of vanity metrics but because the numbers told a story.

A story about connection, consistency and the quiet ripple effects of showing up week after week. (151 episodes across 10 seasons.)

This isn’t just a recap of stats. It’s a reflection on what happens when you create something with intention — and invite others into it.

A Podcast That Travelled Further Than I Ever Imagined

This year, my podcast reached listeners in 23 countries, with the top five being Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Vietnam and the UK. What began as a personal curiosity project in October 2020 has evolved into a cross-border platform amplifying the voices of Asian women entrepreneurs.

One episode in particular — Dun Concha Abiera’s — was played 150% more than my regular episodes, reminding me that when a story resonates deeply, listeners lean in and stay longer.

And they do stay.

  • My show became the top podcast for 53 listeners
  • It ranked in the top five shows for 37 listeners
  • It was the number one show for 8 listeners, who streamed it 2.6x more than other podcasts
  • 15% binged two or more episodes in a single day
  • 5% hit play within 24 hours of a new episode drop

My listeners are intentional, curious and deeply engaged.

Growth That Reflects Trust

What surprised me most wasn’t just the reach — it was the depth of engagement.

  • My show’s growth outpaced other podcasts by 79%
  • Listeners spent 77% more time with my podcast compared to others
  • The show received more shares than 83% of other podcasts

People don’t share content unless it says something about them — what they value, what they believe in and what they want others to hear.

(Also, a fun side note: my listeners really love Taylor Swift. Make of that what you will.)

From Podcast to Platform

Since October 2020, I’ve published 151 episodes. The podcast has brought me places – I’ve been featured on Bernama TV and in print media such as Bulletin Mutiara, The Star and Nikkei Woman. I have been invited to speak regionally because of my podcast.

More importantly, the podcast has opened doors to conversations and collaborations I never could have planned.

One of the most meaningful developments recently is that the podcast is now also available on G Woman Media. They reached out to me because they believed that the Asian perspective is important and shouldn’t be left out of the conversation.

This alignment matters deeply to me. It reinforces why this podcast exists — to ensure Asian women entrepreneurs are heard, seen and included in global dialogues about business, leadership and growth.

Relationships Over Reach

Beyond visibility, the real gift has been the relationships.

I’ve met incredible guests who have become collaborators, sounding boards and confidants. I’ve experienced generous support from people across the region — including many male allies who actively champion women’s stories and leadership.

Somewhere along the way, I realised: I didn’t just create a podcast – I had created a platform.

  • A platform that amplifies the stories of Asian women entrepreneurs across Asia.
  • A platform that helps guests grow their visibility, credibility and opportunities.
  • A platform that I am having tremendous fun building.

I Started Without Knowing What I Was Doing — And That’s the Point

When I started in 2020, I didn’t know how to podcast.

What I did know was this: I’m an entrepreneur-storyteller who is deeply curious about how women start, grow and sustain their businesses. I enjoy conversations that go beneath the surface. I care about stories that don’t always make headlines but deserve to be heard.

The journey since then has been fascinating and humbling. It’s shown me that you don’t need to be an expert to begin. You just need curiosity, consistency and a willingness to learn and be vulnerable in public.

I am humbled because my podcast inspired two women in this region to start their podcasts. One of them even mentioned that Womenpreneur Asia was their inspiration in a recent academic interview!

I am also collaborating with another podcaster to start a digital community for women entrepreneurs in ASEAN and Pacific. Check out WE-WAVE for details.

Looking Ahead to 2026

I’m currently in discussion with other platforms to grow the podcast further in 2026.

And here’s what excites me most: the more the podcast grows, the more everyone grows — especially the guests who share their stories on it.

Visibility creates credibility. Credibility creates opportunities.
(And this is why I teach my visibility program – From Vision to Voice – with Rowena Morais).

And opportunities multiply when shared.

Thank YOU and Let’s Grow This Together

If you’ve listened, shared an episode, been a guest or encouraged me along the way — thank you. You are part of this journey.

If you believe in the power of sharing meaningful conversations and amplifying Asian women entrepreneurs across the region, I’d love to connect.

Whether you’re a listener, potential guest, collaborator or platform partner — reach out.

This podcast has always been about community. And we’re only just getting started.
