Wendy Lim is the founder of Wei Ling Chambers, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

She lives by the quote, “What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”

This guiding principle inspires her to embrace challenges and explore new horizons. She admires individuals who push beyond their comfort zones, whether they are renowned climbers, athletes, entrepreneurs and scientists who have reshaped the world.

Wendy advises numerous public-listed companies on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, specializing in various corporate exercises including initial public offerings, rights issues, and bonus issues.

Her expertise extends to domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, takeovers, joint ventures, foreign direct investments and legal due diligence in jurisdictions such as the United Kingdom and the United States of America.

In addition to her corporate practice, Wendy handles a diverse range of legal matters encompassing banking and finance, real estate and conveyancing, employment and industrial relations, wills, probate and administration, divorce, personal data protection and compliance with Malaysian corporate and securities laws.

Despite her passion for law, she refuses to be defined by the stereotype of the staid, boring lawyer. This spunky lawyer loves the outdoors and sports such as scuba diving.

When she isn’t invigorating her spirit in the great outdoors, Wendy finds joy in Romance of the Three Kingdoms and the soulful rhythms of jazz.

Wendy holds an LL.B (Hons) degree from the University of Leeds, England, United Kingdom. She was admitted to the English bar as a Barrister-at-law in 2009 and is a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. In 2010, she was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.

Her proudest moments include establishing Wei Ling Chambers, serving as the legal advisor for significant listing projects and receiving continuous support from clients and business alliances. These achievements reflect her dedication to excellence and her commitment to making a meaningful impact in the legal and business spheres.
