My Holland is the CEO of EQuest Asia. Currently splitting her time between Sydney and Ho Chi Minh City, she advocates for embracing happiness and fulfillment in the workplace while nurturing one’s cultural identity, particularly among overseas Vietnamese and empowering women to find their voices.
She is also a speaker, consultant and coach in corporate wellbeing, organizational change resilience and emotional intelligence.
Born in France with Vietnamese heritage, My (pronounced “Mee” in Vietnamese) is a leader deeply immersed in cross-cultural experiences across various nations. Interestingly, she was born on 20 March, the UN International Day of Happiness, a fact she interprets as more than mere coincidence.
Her journey reflects a multicultural worldview, shaped by her upbringing in France, education in both France and the USA, and professional experiences spanning the USA, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Vietnam, and New Zealand.
Her contributions extend to bringing the LinkedInLocal initiative to Vietnam and establishing VKNu, a professional platform empowering Vietnamese women. She champions women’s empowerment in Vietnam, serving as a USAid ILO gender trainer and pioneering a new mini MBA programme focusing on feminine leadership at EQuest Asia’s Executive Education.
My Holland draws inspiration from the words of Susan David: “Discomfort is the price of admission to a meaningful life.” Reflecting the resilience and determination of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, she navigates life with a steadfast commitment to authenticity and growth.
Among her favorite reads, “Emotional Agility” by Susan David holds a special place, guiding her journey towards emotional resilience and adaptability. She loves African music using the 21-stringed harp called the Kora.
Her culinary preferences reflect her heritage, focusing particularly on a fusion French and Asian cuisine. My finds joy and balance through the discipline of Japanese martial arts, particularly Iaido, and the serenity of yoga and meditation.
On a personal level, My’s greatest milestones revolve around witnessing her two adult daughters embrace their diverse ethnic backgrounds and navigate life’s uncertainties with confidence and pride.
Professionally, she is proud that she embarked on a bold journey from Australia to Vietnam, establishing herself in the realm of leadership development, corporate retreats and gender training. Supported by her loving husband, daughters and a dedicated team, My’s entrepreneurial spirit radiates as she embraces new challenges and opportunities in her fifties.
My’s motto encapsulates her mission: to be the voice for those who have yet to find theirs.
